2012 London Olympics: Gymnastics Hall

Perimeter Solutions tendered for the design and install of a bespoke low level barrier for the prestigious London 2012 Olympics Gymnastics, in the North Greenwich Arena. Off-site production helped control quality and speed up install time. Working up to 12 hour shifts in a sweltering but empty O2 arena, the install was completed on time: a total of 220m of bespoke low level free standing barrier, weighing in at over 16 tonnes! The install was a great successes, receiving praise from the organisers and standing out on live International TV!

The final challenge was the removal of the entire install at the end of the Gymnastic event – 2 ½ hours to remove the entire install and take it off site. PSL had a team of 14 people and a raft of vehicles ready, and managed this with 10 minutes to spare!
