Perimeter Solutions, a leading UK provider of security fencing, gates, and site hoarding, is excited to announce its membership in The 5% Club – a dynamic, industry-led initiative that is reshaping the future of recruitment. The Club focuses on driving growth in apprenticeships, graduate placements, T-Level students, and sponsored students, and is committed to increasing the employment prospects of young people across the country.
The 5% Club is a movement of more than 1,000 employers providing ‘earn and learn’ opportunities to develop the skills and talents people need to become more employable and create meaningful careers. Members of The 5% Club pledge to ensure that 5% of their workforce will be made up of apprentices, sponsored students, or graduates on formal programmes within five years, with their progress tracked and reported publicly in their annual reports. Members are also asked to publicly report their progress in their Annual Report. Existing members range from SMEs to FTSEs and cover all sectors, including engineering, transport, and financial services.
The 5% Club offers members the chance to achieve accredited Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze status, through an annual Employer Audit, reinforcing a commitment to the development of young talent and supporting workforce diversity.
The Club was founded in 2013, and uses its platform and record of success to engage with policymakers and influencers on issues of concern and relevance, specifically increasing awareness and activity that links skills investment with discernible social impact.
Perimeter Solutions has always been a firm believer in the power of training and development. By investing in their people, the company not only boosts individual careers but also enhances overall business performance. As well as upskilling existing staff, Perimeter Solutions takes on apprentices who are new to the fencing and security industry, injecting new blood into what is an ‘ageing’ industry.

Looking ahead, Perimeter Solutions has plans to take on a new gate automation apprentice, a fencing apprentice, and have two existing staff complete level 6 NVQs. The company is also expecting three of its current apprentices to finish their training, marking another milestone in the development of the next generation of security professionals.
